2010 RAD Summer School in U.K. Feedback
In the summer, I went to England to dance. I liked to play in England. We watched many musicals,
but my favourite was Mamma Mia! and Billy Elliot, because they danced and sang very well. I
stayed at the Langham Hotel. The hotel was very pretty and had good breakfasts. My favourite
dance style at the Royal Academy of Dance Summer Program was street dance, because it is like hip
hop. I made 21 new friends at dance. Two of them were called Poppy and Michelle. Poppy was from
England and Michelle lives in Hong Kong. My mom went shopping while I was dancing. After dance,
I went to Covent Garden to eat dinner. I also watched the street performers. They did magic tricks,
juggled while riding a unicycle, and other things. I thought British people were beautiful. I liked to eat
salami and pizza in England. The airplane ride back was very long, and I was dizzy. I was happy to
go to England, because I could play, dance, and make new friends.
這個八月,我終於鼓起勇氣跟一位同學一起報名參加校長推薦的英國芭蕾舞暑期訓練班。
我為何說我要鼓起勇氣呢?因為我覺得英國皇家芭蕾舞學院是一所高不可攀的學院,要前
往參加她所舉辦的課程,實在是有點壓力,害怕自己的造藝力有不逮,未能應付要求。不
過,經過校長再三的鼓勵,我決定挑戰自己,前往英國跟來自18個不同國家的同學參加了
為期一星期的密集訓練。而這個課程帶給我的竟是意想不到的收穫。

最初,我也抱有懷疑的態度,因為在課程中,我除了要學習《芭蕾舞》,還要學習《創意
舞》,《街頭舞》和《歌唱訓練》。我不是來學習芭蕾舞的嗎?為甚麼在課程之中要學習
歌唱和其他舞蹈呢?這不是跟芭蕾舞《風馬牛不相及》嗎?然而,當我繼續投入課程的時
候,我卻領略到課程的安排,是以啓發性的教學方法,對我學習芭蕾舞是有很大的裨益的

透過〈創意舞〉蹈,我可以放下舞步的框框,創造自己的舞步。表面上可以自由發揮,但
要跳得美妙,跳得創新,跳得跟音樂配合就非得花點心思,動動腦筋,身體的擺動隨音樂
的節奏而去變化,大大提升了我對音樂節奏的回應,還激發我對舞蹈的創意,對我日後領
受芭蕾舞有很大的幫助。

透過《街頭舞》,我可以盡情釋放喜,怒,哀,樂的情感。當音樂一起,隨著抑揚高低的
旋律,我的情緒變得高昂,也熱情起來,最後能無拘無束的投入街頭舞之中。這種感覺雖
然和優雅的芭蕾舞截然不同,但令我體會到《舞蹈的感染力》,對我日後演繹芭蕾舞也有
很大的幫助。

而透過歌唱訓練,我可以掌握音樂的情感和節拍。讓我領略到舞蹈和音樂是一體的,不可
分割。對我日後跳芭蕾舞時去感受舞蹈和音樂那種配合十分有幫助。

在整個課程中,令我印象最深刻的,就是班裡唯一的男同學。這是我第一次跟男孩子一起
上芭蕾舞課,令我驚訝的是他的舞蹈技術,絕不遜色於我們女孩子;而且令我更佩服的是
他那份勇氣和堅毅,不怕害羞的跟全班女孩子一起上芭蕾舞課,用心地學習,投入舞蹈,
他的學習精神也大大激勵了我。

‭ 我實在感謝校長的推介和父母對我的支持,給予我這個寶貴的經驗。這個暑期訓練班,不
但擴闊了我的眼界,還提升了我對舞蹈藝術的欣賞力,令我對〈美〉有更深的體驗。
